Senior Structures Engineer — Aerostructures

A Tier 1 aerostructures supplier based at Filton, Bristol is seeking a Senior Structures Engineer to strengthen its engineering analysis capability. The company designs and manufactures composite primary structures for multiple Airbus and defence programmes and is at an exciting stage of expansion following recent new programme wins.

You will carry out stress analysis and structural substantiation for composite aerostructure components, generate analysis reports to AS9100 and customer-specific requirements, and support DER and DAS activities as required. You will work within a multi-disciplinary engineering team spanning design, manufacturing engineering and quality, contributing to NPI programmes from early concept through to production release.

Candidates should be degree qualified in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering and have a minimum of five years’ structural analysis experience in an aerospace environment, with strong FEA capability (NASTRAN, ABAQUS or equivalent). Experience of composite primary structure analysis to EASA or FAA regulatory standards is essential. Experience of fatigue and damage tolerance analysis is advantageous.
