Production Manager — Composite Aerostructures

One of the UK’s largest composite aerostructures manufacturing facilities, based in North Wales, is seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead a major composite manufacturing area responsible for producing primary wing components for a high-rate commercial aircraft programme. This is a significant operational leadership appointment at a site that is central to the UK aerospace supply chain.

Managing a team of approximately 60 operators and technicians across multiple shifts, you will be accountable for the safety, quality, delivery and cost performance of your area. You will work closely with engineering, planning, quality assurance and HR to drive continuous improvement, manage throughput against demanding programme rate targets, and develop team capability through structured coaching and skills development activity.

Candidates should have significant experience in a production or operations leadership role within aerospace manufacturing or another high-complexity, regulated production environment. Experience in composite manufacturing processes is desirable but not essential — manufacturing leadership depth and a track record of leading teams through rate increases or process change is the priority. AS9100 and Lean or Six Sigma experience are advantageous. The role is site-based five days per week.
