Aerospace Manufacturing Engineer
A Tier 1 aerostructures manufacturer based near Bristol is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support its expanding composites production programme. The company produces primary structural components for a number of major commercial and defence platforms and is investing significantly in new automated manufacturing capabilities.
Reporting to the Senior Manufacturing Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining and optimising manufacturing processes for composite aerostructure components. Your responsibilities will include writing and reviewing process instructions, DFM support during NPI programmes, non-conformance investigation, and tool design and modification activities. You will work closely with quality, design, and production teams to drive first-time quality and production efficiency targets.
A degree in Mechanical, Aerospace or Manufacturing Engineering (or equivalent experience) is required, along with practical knowledge of composite manufacturing processes — ideally including autoclave processing, resin infusion, or automated fibre placement. Experience in an AS9100-regulated environment is essential. SC clearance (or eligibility to obtain it) is required for some programmes.
