Head of Engineering — Regional Airline

Birmingham, United Kingdom £90,000 – £115,000 + bonus On-site C-suite
Head of Engineering AOC Post Holder Continuing Airworthiness Birmingham

A UK regional airline that has grown significantly over the past decade is seeking a Head of Engineering to join its senior leadership team at Birmingham. The airline operates a mixed fleet of regional jets and turboprops under a UK CAA AOC and Part-CAMO approval, and has plans for further fleet expansion over the coming two years.

Reporting directly to the CEO, you will hold overall accountability for the airline’s engineering function — encompassing continuing airworthiness, technical services, ground engineering and the management of contracted MRO and CAMO providers. You will be a nominated post-holder or will lead the appointment of appropriate post-holders, and will ensure the organisation maintains full UK CAA regulatory compliance at all times. You will also represent engineering to the board and provide technical input to fleet planning and aircraft acquisition decisions.

Candidates must have substantial leadership experience within a EASA or UK CAA AOC environment, with a strong continuing airworthiness background. An EASA Part-66 or UK CAA Part-66 licence and relevant engineering qualification are required. Previous post-holder experience — or deputy experience at a comparable scale — is strongly preferred. This is a high-visibility executive appointment offering a competitive base salary, annual performance bonus, executive pension and a leadership role in a business at an exciting stage of development.
