Aerospace Manufacturing Engineer — Composites
A Tier 1 aerostructures manufacturer based near Bristol is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support its expanding composites production programme. The company designs and manufactures primary structural components for a number of major commercial and defence platforms and is investing significantly in automated manufacturing capabilities following a series of new programme wins.
Reporting to the Senior Manufacturing Engineering Manager, you will develop, maintain and optimise manufacturing processes for composite aerostructure components. Responsibilities include writing and reviewing process instructions, DFM support during NPI programmes, non-conformance investigation, and tool design and modification activities. You will work closely with quality, design and production teams to drive first-time quality and production efficiency against programme rate targets.
A degree in Mechanical, Aerospace or Manufacturing Engineering — or equivalent practical experience — is required, alongside knowledge of composite manufacturing processes (autoclave processing, resin infusion, or AFP). Experience in an AS9100-regulated manufacturing environment is essential. The role offers hybrid working (typically three days on-site), a competitive salary, 25 days annual leave and a contributory pension scheme.
